That means another winger may well be on Tottenham’s wish list even with Kulusevski and Son Heung-min still almost nailed-on starters.
Transfer insider Dean Jones has now told Give Me Sport that one source has informed him that Tottenham may make a January move for Cody Gakpo.
Gakpo, 23, has been absolutely unbelievable this season.
The left winger has racked up a ridiculous 13 goals and 17 assists in just 24 games for PSV this season.
Gakpo – who can play on either flank, up front or behind a striker – now looks ready to shine for the Netherlands at the World Cup.
That versatility may be just what Tottenham want in order to support Harry Kane, Richarlison, Son and Kulusevski.
Tottenham can certainly expect major competition from a number of Premier League clubs for Gakpo though.
The Mirror reported last month that Arsenal have been tracking Gakpo for around a year with Edu and Mikel Arteta interested.
90Min claimed just last week that Arsenal had scouted Gakpo in action as they continue to keep tabs on him.
Tottenham are now lurking as well though with Gakpo surely set to make a big move in 2023; where he will end up is anybody’s guess.
