It’s suggested that United have been scouting Brereton Diaz in action for Blackburn this season.
United are likely to be in the market for new attackers in 2023 and they may fancy a bargain move for Brereton Diaz.
The Chile international is out of contract at the end of the season and a move back to the Red Devils would be hard to turn down.
Brereton Diaz actually started his career with United at the age of seven only to be released at 14.
United are far from the only club in the race though.
90Min’s report adds that Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brighton and Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leeds United, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all keen on Brereton Diaz too.
The Daily Mail note that Leeds would like to sign Brereton Diaz on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Yet their old rivals Manchester United are lurking for the Blackburn star in what would be a real blow for Victor Orta and co.
Add in interest from Ajax, Atalanta, Salernitana Sassuolo, Sevilla and Union Berlin and Brereton Diaz faces quite the decision on his future.
