James McFadden has lavished praise on Crysencio Summerville following an explosive start for Leeds United at Elland Road today.
The Dutch winger won a penalty for his side within minutes of kickoff against Bournemouth in West Yorkshire.
Rodrigo calmly slotted the resulting spot kick to give Leeds the perfect start after beating Liverpool at Anfield last weekend.
Summerville, a £1.3 million signing in 2020 [The Sun], scored a last-minute winner on Merseyside last time around.
And here’s what McFadden said about the jet-heeled winger today.
He told BBC Radio 5 Live [5/11, 3:05 pm]: “That’s absolutely electric from Summerville and the pace that he shows to get on the end of it and win the penalty. Direct running and it’s clumsy from Senesi. What a start for Leeds.”

Sadly for the Whites, Marcus Tavernier equalised for the visitors four minutes later and then Phillip Billing struck to give the Cherries a 2-1 lead on 19 minutes.
It’s been a fast and furious start for both sides at Elland Road and honestly, Leeds probably should’ve relaxed a little after the goal.
The ferocious home supporters urged their troops on at every opportunity, but game management was needed from Jesse Marsch’s side.
