Daichi Kamada is reportedly a target for Everton and Leeds United, and a new finding from Opta could add more fuel to the Premier League side’s fire to sign the Bundesliga superstar.
According to the stats platform, the Japanese international now, by quite some distance, has the best shot conversion rate this season out of any player in Europe’s top-five leagues, bettering the likes of Manchester City’s goal machine Erling Haaland and even FC Barcelona and Poland’s Robert Lewandowski.

With 12 goals in just 20 appearances, the 26-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt attacker has been one of Europe’s best attackers this season. And according to reports, both Everton and Leeds are interested in signing Kamada as per Bild and Sport1, with the Toffees’ interest much more recent.
With the Premier League sides keen to add to their attacking ranks and Kamada’s contract set to expire in the summer of 2023, there is a potential bargain to be had in January if Everton and Leeds can ramp up their efforts now to sign the Frankfurt goalscorer.
Indeed, whilst a strong showing for Japan at the 2022 FIFA World Cup might complicate matters, there’s a good chance that Kamada could take the plunge and sign for a Premier League side on the level of Everton and Leeds, even with Frankfurt progressing to the next round of the UEFA Champions League.
Yet with the striker now scoring at a better rate than Haaland, who has terrorised English football this season, Kamada could become quite the luxury in 2023. And for Everton and Leeds, they must do all they can to sign the attacker.
Everton and Leeds must battle to sign Kamada in January

Kamada is on course to achieve his best-ever goalscoring season for Frankfurt if he continues at his current rate, and for Everton and Leeds, the two Premier League sides are missing a trick by not going all out for the 26-year-old in the January transfer window.
Whilst the interest is there according to reports, both clubs have to step up their progress in getting a deal over the line for Kamada, who could prove to be quite a bargain for Everton or Leeds depending on which Premier League club wins the race for the striker.
