Dean Windass has been singing the praised of Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
The Spain international has endured a stop-start season under Jurgen Klopp this time around due to injury.
But there’s no doubt that the former Bayern Munich maestro, a £20 million signing in 2020 [Goal], is the midfielder that makes Liverpool tick.
He and his Reds teammates struggled on Saturday as Leeds United recorded a 2-1 victory at Anfield.
But Windass majorly impressed by the Spaniard nonetheless.

He wrote on Twitter:
So much of Liverpool’s season will hinge on whether their former Barcelona magician can stay fit.
A relatively large chunk of his spell at Anfield has been decimated by injury thus far but, as he proved last season, he is undeniably world class.
The likes of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Virgil van Dijk are probably Liverpool’s biggest players on paper.
But in terms of influence, Thiago is instrumental for Klopp’s side and the more he’s fit, the better. It’s as simple as that.
The Merseysiders are ninth in the Premier League table after losing to Leeds and although a lot of other Liverpool players will have to raise their game between now and the end of the campaign, so long as Thiago maintains his standard then that’ll help quite a bit.
