Tim Sherwood believes that Jurgen Klopp will quit Liverpool next year if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Klopp has been a roaring success since joining the Reds a little over seven years ago.
A Champions League and Premier League title in successive seasons illustrate how successful the former Borussia Dortmund manager has been since replacing Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool in 2015.
But there are worrying signs that he could be coming to the end of his reign at Anfield.
Liverpool lost yet again last night as Leeds United scored a last-minute winner to secure a shock 2-1 victory on Merseyside, seven days after Klopp’s side went down 1-0 at Nottingham Forest.

As a result, the Reds are eight points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United and catching the in-form Magpies – who beat Tottenham Hotspur last week – will be a battle and a half, particularly given how inconsistent the Merseysiders are this season.
Eight points is looking like a massive deficit at this moment in time and Sherwood is confident that Klopp ‘will leave’ Liverpool at the end of this season if they fail to secure a top-four finish.
He said on Sky Sports‘ Soccer Saturday [29/10, 1.45 pm]: “If they don’t finish in the top four the manager will have to sit down with the hierarchy there and see if he has the motivation to carry on, but I don’t think he’ll be able to pick it up and go again. I think he’ll leave [if they finish outside the top four].”
