Arsenal want Mykhaylo Mudryk and Shakhtar Donetsk’s deputy sporting director has confirmed their interest in the winger.
The Gunners are almost certain to be in the market for a new wide man in 2023.
Nicolas Pepe was loaned out to Nice before the transfer deadline and wasn’t replaced.
Marquinhos is only a kid and Reiss Nelson could walk away from Arsenal at the end of the season.
Edu needs to find another winger and one name keeps coming up again and again.

Arsenal want Mykhaylo Mudryk
Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk is that player.
Arsenal were interested in signing Mudryk before the deadline and Fabrizio Romano claimed that they asked for information about a deal.
No move materialised and Arsenal may wish they had wrapped up his signature in August.
Mudryk has gone on to shine in the Champions League this season, racking up three goals and two assists in five games.
Mudryk is so fast, direct and dangerous on the counter-attack with Champions League defenders finding that out.
Arsenal are now facing more and more competition for Mudryk and his price tag seems to keep rising by the week.
Shakhtar’s deputy sporting director Carlo Nicolini has now opened up about Mudryk.
Speaking to Calciomercato, Nicolini suggested that Italian clubs are entering this race too late by making very low offers.
Nicolini added that there are ‘many’ English clubs interested in Mudryk and Shakhtar consider him to be up there with Kylian Mbappe, Rafael Leao and Vinicius Junior in terms of posing a threat in from the left flank.
Nicolini also confirmed Arsenal’s interest but also Manchester City’s, suggesting that they value him higher than Antony, who cost Manchester United €100million (£86million).
“The headlights are on him, but I say that the Italians always come later,” said Nicolini. “Now it’s easy to observe, but it was possible to do it before. The Italians bring low proposals, we don’t even sit down to negotiate. There are many English candidates, there is the Spanish on duty, the French on duty, but now it takes the right amount to take him away. Together with Mbappe, Leao and Vinicius, Mudryk is the strongest player in that role.”
“Is €40 million enough to buy it? We do not speak to these figures. Not even for fifty, we don’t even call the president to make the offer. We value Mudryk more than Manchester United’s Antony, who cost €100 million. Floating between Arsenal and Manchester City? They are two teams that have taken an interest in the player. But there are also other clubs that can spend right away,” he added.
It’s hard to see Arsenal paying that kind of money for Mudryk and they may just hope that all of this chat is bluster to try and drive up the asking price, but when the money is on the table, Shakhtar could do a deal.
