As the Game of the Year race starts to hot up, especially with the imminent release of God of War: Ragnarok, Bandai Namco is doing everything possible to keep Elden Ring fresh in players’ minds.
Despite being out for eight months, the game still receives semi-regular updates and balance changes.
This is all ahead of DLC which is expected to drop in the not-so-distant future.
The latest of these Elden Ring updates comes today, on October 25, and features a hotfix and a couple of balance changes. You can read the v1.07.1 patch notes below.
Elden Ring Update Patch Notes v1.07.1
The following are the full patch notes from the latest Elden Ring update, v1.07.1 as shared by Bandai Namco:
Major Changes included in the latest patch
・Ash of War – Endure
Shortened effect duration. Adjustments made in patch 1.07 had a greater impact on the game balance than expected.
・Incantation – Inescapable Frenzy
Fixed a bug where the FP consumption was not properly reduced in patch 1.07.
Bandai Namco also clarified some changes it had made to the Elden Ring update v1.07 patch notes stating:
The incantation Flame of the Fell God and Gurranq’s Beast Claw cannot be charged; patch notes were edited accordingly.
Impact of these changes
This update is a lot smaller than some of the previous ones.
Players shouldn’t expect anything new to be added to the game, instead, the developers are rolling back/fixing some issues that cropped up with the update that was released a week ago.
What’s next for Elden Ring?
Although DLC could still be a while away, Bandai Namco has confirmed that “The incantation Black Blade is currently missing its follow-up attack when cast from the left hand. This issue will be corrected in a future update.”
