John Terry has responded on Instagram to Aston Villa’s decision to sack Steven Gerrard as their manager.
Premier League club Aston Villa announced on their official website, Twitter and Instagram late last night that Gerrard is no longer their manager.
Villa made the decision following the team’s defeat to Fulham in the Premier League last night.
Fulham beat the Villans 3-0 at Craven Cottage in London.
Villa ended the game with 10 men due to the dismissal of Douglas Luiz in the 62nd minute.
Villa are 17th in the Premier League table at the moment with nine points from 11 matches, level on points with third-from-bottom Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Villans are in dire form at the moment and are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
Villa will return to action on Sunday when they take on Brentford at Villa Park in the Premier League.
Former Villa defender and assistant manager Terry has urged the club’s fans to stand behind the team and help them win this weekend.
