Former Ajax, Lyon and Borussia Dortmund coach Peter Bosz is ‘very unlikely’ to take over at Premier League strugglers Wolves because of concerns among some at Molineux about his suitability, according to Le10 Sport.
With Ruben Amorim, Bo Svensson, Julen Lopetegui and even former boss Nuno Espirito Santo giving Wolverhampton Wanderers the cold shoulder, emerging doubts over 58-year-old Bosz look set to extend Steve Davis’ reign as interim head coach at the Black Country outfit.
Davis’ side threw away a one goal lead to lose 2-1 at Crystal Palace on Tuesday night. They are now 17th in the table, and have scored fewer goals (five) than anyone else in the Premier League.

The potential appointment of Peter Bosz would, at least, have captured the imagination while promising to bring excitement back to the terraces.
Wolves have held talks with former Lyon, Ajax and Dortmund coach Peter Bosz
Bosz is a graduate of the Johan Cryuff school of coaching; a man who prides himself upon ‘beautiful, attacking football’. A swashbuckling, high-pressing style bordering on the reckless. His Lyon side, for instance, scored 66 goals in Ligue 1 last term while conceding 51.
Le10 Sport back up claims from The Telegraph and the BBC; the now-out-of-work Dutchman has held negotiations with Wolves. His arrival at Molineux, however, is ‘very unlikely’ as things stand.
He is far from the unanimous choice of the Wolves bosses, with the club now considering other options. Perhaps there are concerns about whether or not a group of players used to a cautious, defence-first approach can adapt to a style of play that almost feels like the footballing equivalent of a Michael Bay blockbuster; lots of actions, lots of explosions, underpinned by an almost incomprehensible plot.
Bosz was sacked following a five-game winless run at Lyon on October 9th.
QPR’s former Aston Villa and Rangers coach Mick Beale is another name to have emerged this week.
