Jurgen Klopp has praised Lucas Paqueta as a ‘great player’ whilst believing West Ham United also have a ‘top-class’ defender in Thilo Kehrer.
Liverpool notched a huge win on Sunday evening, beating rivals Manchester City 1-0 at Anfield.
Despite having a number of injuries before and even during the game, Liverpool managed to come up with a big display and secure all three points.
Liverpool must now back up that win with another positive result in midweek with West Ham visiting Merseyside on Wednesday night.

David Moyes would no doubt love to stun the Anfield crowd with a win on Wednesday and a positive summer window means West Ham can’t be taken lightly.
Moyes placed a keen focus on his back line by signing Alphonse Areola, Thilo Kehrer, Nayef Aguerd and Emerson Palmieri.
The Scot also swooped to land midfielder Flynn Downes, playmaker Lucas Paqueta, winger Maxwel Cornet and striker Gianluca Scamacca.
That’s a very impressive window and fans are already seeing some of those new arrivals shine in claret and blue.
Two that have really impressed are Paqueta and Scamacca, with Kehrer starting to really settle in now.
Brazilian playmaker Paqueta has that bit of magic in his locker which saw him earn a move to AC Milan as a youngster and attract plenty of Premier League interest at Lyon.
Striker Scamacca was outstanding in Serie A last season and looks to be the future of the Italian national team, so both were enormous coups for West Ham.
The pair have shown encouraging link-up play in the Premier League and Europa Conference League, so Moyes will be looking for both to take that into the clash with Liverpool.
Kehrer had a tough start at centre back after his move from Paris Saint-Germain but has turned in more encouraging displays of late, even featuring at right back.
Liverpool boss Klopp has now told the media that West Ham will be respected by the Reds, especially with Moyes doing such a great job at the London Stadium.
Klopp added that Paqueta is a ‘great player’ and Kehrer is a ‘top-class defender’, picking them out as two players who Liverpool must be wary of on Wednesday night.
“We respect them a lot,” said Klopp. “They have caused us a lot of problems here and there as well, all the time. David is just doing an incredible job, they have really quality players and options to change.” “Paqueta is a great player, I know Kehrer obviously from Germany, he’s a top-class defender, that’s only to name a few,” he added.
