Instagram users are trying to retrieve their accounts after they were suspended or deactivated suddenly as of Monday, October 31.

A few months ago, app users flooded Twitter with complaints about being unable to deactivate their accounts despite numerous attempts.

The opposite is happening right now according to some users and Instagram has now addressed the issue.

Instagram accounts suspended for some users

Some Instagram users are urging the app to fix the issue as their accounts were suddenly suspended without any warning.

Apparently, users were asked to enter a code to retrieve their accounts, which many claim that they have done to return to their profiles. However, once they’ve entered the code, their account got suddenly suspended, many users have reported at this time.

Earlier this month, Instagram users said they were facing issues while accessing the app as it was either not opening or would keep crashing.

In a Twitter post on October 31, Instagram addressed the issue users are currently experiencing and wrote:

Many people complained about the persistent issue as they shared screengrabs from their accounts.

One person tweeted: “I tried to appeal my decision, it logged me out and now this appears when I try to log in???”

Another wrote: “Same thing happened here, entered the security code and all. The number that was linked to my account is now linked to someone else’s and when I tried to regain access it just sent a recovery mail to a completely different email address.”

Someone else asked: “My account literally got suspended for no reason I did not violate any community guidelines, and when I try to verify the code it’s just giving me a loading error. Is anybody else having this problem?”

“Is anybody else getting randomly suspended from Instagram?” a fourth user asked. “My account just got suspended all of sudden for no reason. It told me to enter my phone number for a code but I never got that code.”

Why is my account disabled?

Instagram accounts are suspended or disabled if the users fail to follow the Community Guidelines.

The app permanently removes accounts that repeatedly violate the rules and regulations.

However, if your account is suspended by mistake, you may be able to appeal the decision by opening the app, entering your username, and password, and following the instructions on-screen.

How to avoid suspension

To avoid getting your accounts suspended on Instagram, make sure you never violate the community guidelines.

Always avoid following or liking bot accounts in order to gain more followers.

Spam comments will also land your account in trouble as it’s on top of Instagram’s No-No list.

Never post any content that’s offensive. You can find all the details here.
