Jose Enrique has said on Twitter that he hopes that Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United will win against Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at Old Trafford, adding that he is disappointed with the news that Alexander Isak has suffered a setback in his recovery from injury.
Newcastle will take on Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League this afternoon.
Former Newcastle star Enrique has said that he hopes that the Magpies beat the Red Devils.
The former Liverpool player, who now works as a pundit, is also disappointed with the news that Sweden international striker Isak has suffered a setback in his recovery from injury.
As reported by The Daily Mail, the £60 million striker pulled up last week with a thigh injury and is now facing another spell on the sidelines.
Isak was expected to return against Manchester United, but he is now set to miss out the match against the Red Devils, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, according to the report.
The 23-year-old former Real Sociedad striker has scored two goals in three Premier League matches for Newcastle so far this season.
