Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid do not plan to bid for Liverpool target and Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe in the January transfer window, according to ESPN.
ESPN have reported that Madrid were keen on signing Mbappe in the summer of 2022, but the France international forward put pen to paper on a new deal with PSG.
The 23-year-old is now pushing to leave PSG in January as relationship between him and the club has broken down, but last season’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Madrid do not plan to bid, according to ESPN.
This will come as a boost to Liverpool.
Marca have reported that Liverpool want to sign Mbappe, and that PSG are willing to sell the Frenchman to the Premier League club but not to Madrid.

Could Real Madrid-linked Kylian Mbappe join Liverpool?
In our view, Liverpool are unlikely to be able to sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window.
Yes, Liverpool are a massive club and are hugely appealing to all footballers on the planet, but they are not doing particularly well at the moment and may not end up in the Premier League top four this season.
Despite all the plaudits that Jurgen Klopp has rightly got over the years, he has led Liverpool to just one Premier League title and to UEFA Champions League success only once.
Carlo Ancelotti won the domestic league title in Spain and the UEFA Champions League with Madrid in one season in 2021-22.
PSG will demand a huge transfer fee for Mbappe, whose wages are astronomical.
