According to Bild, Josko Gvardiol is set to join Chelsea next summer alongside Christopher Nkunku.
It was reported earlier this month that Nkunku had actually undergone a Chelsea medical ahead of a move to Stamford Bridge next summer, and he’s not the only RB Leipzig player who will be headed to west London in the near future.
Indeed, the Blues are also set to sign Gvardiol according to this report.

This report does state that Gvardiol has been a long-term target for Chelsea. Todd Boehly reportedly bid €80m for the Croatian this summer, but the player didn’t feel as though it was the right time to leave Leipzig at that point.
However, with another season of development under his belt, the left-footer believes that next summer will be the opportune point to make the next step in his career.
Chelsea are getting a fantastic defender here, and this looks set to be a serious blow for Tottenham Hotspur.
Indeed, Spurs are likely to be back in the market for a left-footed centre-back this summer once Clement Lenglet’s loan comes to an end, and Gvardiol is one of their dream signings.
The centre-half was described as one of Tottenham’s top targets this summer, and, in fact, it was even claimed that they would rather have signed Gvardiol than Alessandro Bastoni – a player Spurs pursued for months this summer.
Unfortunately for Tottenham, this young star is instead going to be turning out for on of their rivals.
However, Spurs’ hunt for a new centre-half next summer continues, and who knows? Perhaps they could finally tempt Bastoni to leave Inter and come to north London this time around as his contract at San Siro begins to run down.
