Khayon Edwards is travelling with Arsenal for this evening’s game against Bodo/Glimt and he has now offered praise for Mikel Arteta.

Europa League action returns this evening as Arsenal head off to Norway to take on Bodo/Glimt.

Arsenal beat the Eliteserien side 3-0 last week and will be looking for a repeat performance on the road today.

Yet with Premier League games coming up quickly too, Mikel Arteta will need to balance his squad carefully and rotate some players out.

That means opportunities for young players could be on the horizon for Arsenal.

A photo has emerged of striker Khayon Edwards boarding the plane to Norway, leaving from Luton Airport yesterday.

Edwards may just be brought along for experience but it seems more likely that he will now be on the bench against Bodo/Glimt.

The 19-year-old is considered to be one of Arsenal’s top young prospects and Arteta may now be ready to give him a chance.

Arsenal had to fight to keep hold of Edwards at the end of last season with a number of Premier League rivals interested in snatching him away.

Edwards stayed put though and has bagged two goals in four Premier League 2 outings this season.

Edwards also racked up 16 goals in 16 Under-18 Premier League games last season to really make a name for himself in Arsenal circles.

With Gabriel Jesus missing training earlier this week, Edwards may well be utilised as backup to Eddie Nketiah tonight.

Arsenal fans will be excited and even more so now Edwards has taken to Twitter to send a message about Arteta.

Edwards posted a photo of himself and Arteta in Arsenal training, simply stating ‘learning from the best’.

That’s great praise for the Arsenal boss and Edwards may now be just hours away from making his first-team debut for the club.
