According to La Razon, Liverpool are planning a January move for Guido Rodriguez after Arthur suffered a serious injury.
What’s the story?
Well, Liverpool signed the Brazil international on loan from Juventus for the 2022/23 campaign due to a number of frequent injury issues in midfield, only for the South American to suffer a serious problem of his own.
According to The Athletic, Arthur is set to undergo surgery on a muscle issue, which is likely to rule him out for roughly four months.
As a result, Liverpool have decided to target Rodriguez this winter, according to La Razon.
The Spanish news outlet believe Real Betis are willing to negotiate with the Reds, and would be tempted to sell the Argentina international for a sum of €25m (£22m).

Real Betis owe a cut of any funds they receive from selling Rodriguez to América.
The report adds that Liverpool feel obliged to strengthen their midfield department this January, with Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also unable to play a part so far this season.
Liverpool must find younger than Guido Rodriguez
In our view, Arthur was a panic signing by the Reds, and Jürgen Klopp must ensure Liverpool get back on track in the transfer market.
Usually, their policy involved signing players aged 26 or under who were already performing at a high level, but had time on their side to get even better – with the exception of ready made superstars like Thiago.
Rodriguez turns 29 in April, and should he require a few years to adapt to English football, Liverpool would only start to see the benefits of their signing when he enters his thirties, where the Argentine will then have no sell on value.
Of course, that is purely hypothetical, but also a very possible scenario.
Someone like Enzo Fernandez, the 21-year-old Benfica maestro who is already shining in the Champions League, would be a much better option. According to Sky Sports, he is a target for Liverpool.
Whatever happens, it seems Klopp has decided to sign a new midfielder in January, so keep an eye on developments at Anfield.
