Arsenal and Tottenham fancy Malo Gusto and have been making checks on the Lyon star ahead of potentially launching bids.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham have interesting situations on the right side of defence.
Arsenal have been using Ben White there to great effect this season, leaving last season’s starter Takehiro Tomiyasu on the bench.
Tottenham paid up for Djed Spence over the summer but he’s yet to start a game whilst Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty continue to feature ahead of him.
Both teams may be in the market for an attack-minded right back in 2023 and one name is emerging for them.

Arsenal and Tottenham fancy Malo Gusto
90Min report that Lyon talent Malo Gusto is attracting real interest ahead of the January and summer windows next year.
It’s stated that Barcelona and Manchester United both made contact to try and sign Gusto over the summer.
More clubs are now joining the race though with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus understood to be watching Gusto with intent.
Gusto, 19, is becoming one of the most in-demand teenagers in the game and it’s not hard to see why.
Formerly a midfielder, Gusto has now become a speedy, attack-minded right back who can make a real difference going forward.
The teenager describes himself as ‘punchy, powerful and fast’ and there have been mentions of him impressing against Neymar – despite giving away a penalty against the PSG star.
Gusto has bagged six assists in 48 outings for Lyon, which isn’t bad at all for a right back, and he has played as a wing back before – something that should appeal to Tottenham.
Gusto is approaching the final 18 months of his Lyon contract and the French side may well receive offers for their prized teenager very soon.
Until one of Emerson or Doherty leave Tottenham, we can’t see Spurs firming up their interest in Gusto, which gives a window of opportunity for Arsenal.
