Arsenal want Mykhaylo Mudryk

Shakhtar star Mudryk was one of the players Arsenal considered signing before the summer deadline.

Fabrizio Romano reported on The Here We Go Podcast that Arsenal had asked for information about a potential deal for Mudryk.

No deal materialised but a January move seems possible given claims from The Athletic that Arsenal have received glowing reports about Mudryk.

The 21-year-old wide man has already bagged four assists in four league games for Shakhtar this season.

Add in two goals and two assists in the Champions League and Mudryk is starting to become one of the top young talents in Europe.

Shakhtar’s Darijo Srna has hailed Mudryk as a ‘serious talent’, no doubt looking to build up the hype and ultimately his price tag.

Mudryk featured against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening and Arsenal were there to see him in action.

Defensa Central claim that Arsenal scouts were in attendance at the Santiago Bernabeu with Mudryk understandably one of the players they were watching.

Mudryk recorded three shots, two shots on target, one key pass and one accurate cross but no dribbles, despite being known for his ability to go past players.

This was a big task for Mudryk against a side like Real, and Arsenal will have wanted to see him in a serious test as they evaluate the wide man.
