October 4th is National Taco Day in the United States, but this year the event is extra special as it is the first time since 2016 that the day falls on a Tuesday, making it the beast of all Taco Tuesdays.

National Taco Day can be celebrated however you want, whether that includes making tacos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, posting about the day on Twitter, or going out to eat.

Luckily, many restaurants celebrate the day too and bring in a range of deals and discounts for people to enjoy tacos on National Taco Day. Let’s take a look at some of the best ones this year…

  • Taco Bell’s National Taco Day deal

Taco Bell, perhaps unsurprisingly, is going all out for National Taco Day. They are doing Taco Drops all day until 6pm PT, and as part of these 500 Taco Lover’s Passes will be dropped through codes redeemable in the Taco Bell app.

Every hour on the hour Taco Bell’s Twitter page will release a new code. The first people to enter the code into the Taco Bell app will be able to redeem as Taco Lover’s Pass, which allows you to have one free taco every day for a month.

Each code is limited, so make sure you get there quickly.

You will be able to get one of the following Tacos each day:

    • Crunchy Taco
    • Crunchy Taco Supreme
    • Soft Taco
    • Soft Taco Supreme
    • Doritos Locos Tacos
    • Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme
    • Spicy Potato Soft Taco

The pass is non-transferable, non-redeemable, and has no cash value, Taco Bell states.

    Chuys Taco Day deals 2022

Chuys is running several deals to celebrate National Taco Day. You can add a Ground Beef Taco (crispy or soft) to any entrée for just $1. You can also get yourself a $1 Tequila Floater to top your margarita with an extra pour of tequila.

However, the best deal that Chuys is offering is a free, dine-in entrée of your choice if you dress up like a taco and post a photo with the hashtag #ChuysTacoDay.

El Pollo Loco’s More Than Tacos campaign

Continuing on with their #MoreThanTacos campaign, which aims to spotlight the diversity of Hispanic cuisine, El Pollo Loco will be forgoing their usual National Taco Day deal.

The restaurant chain will be encouraging customers to try different dishes, “challenging the tokenization of the taco and underlining that Hispanic culture is #MoreThanTacos.”

People who spend at least $10 on menu items other than tacos will get eight free tacos in their loyalty account which they can redeem anytime between October 5th to 31st.
