John Aldridge has hailed Leandro Trossard and believes the Brighton and Hove Albion star would be an absolutely perfect signing for Liverpool.
The Reds hosted Brighton on Saturday and found Trossard in outstanding form.
The Belgian ace scored twice to put Brighton 2-0 up before Liverpool roared back to put themselves 3-2 up and on the verge of a win.
Trossard wasn’t done though and finished at the back post from Kaoru Mitoma’s cross to secure a 3-3 draw for Brighton.

John Aldridge has hailed Leandro Trossard
Liverpool just haven’t looked themselves this season and Trossard took full advantage of slack defending throughout Saturday’s game.
The 27-year-old has now hit five goals and one assist in seven Premier League games this season and appears to be in fine form for the Seagulls.
Trossard is bound to attract major interest sooner or later and a couple of rumours have emerged.
Voetbal België reported in June that Arsenal like Trossard and are interested in bringing him to the Emirates Stadium.
Trossard has even indicated that he would be interested in following Graham Potter from Brighton to Chelsea.
Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge has now told the Liverpool Echo that he thinks Liverpool should be in the hunt for Trossard.
Aldridge admitted that it isn’t just Saturday’s game that has impressed him as he felt Trossard was outstanding at Anfield last season too.
Aldridge thinks Trossard is ‘right up Liverpool’s street’ and feels the Reds may need to take a look into signing the Belgian international.
“Leandro Trossard found the net three times against Liverpool on Saturday and I thought he was the best player on the pitch when we played them in the same fixture last season,” said Aldridge. “He got them back in the game. I thought we might have been linked with him in the summer, because as far as I’m concerned he’s right up Liverpool’s street,” he added.
Trossard’s versatility to play up front, out wide, behind a striker or even at wing back has to appeal to many Premier League managers – such as Jurgen Klopp.
Trossard doesn’t fit Liverpool’s usual age profile though and with two settled wingers in Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah, it’s hard to see the Reds making a move.
