He is the man who will lead Spain into World Cup 2022, but how many trophies has Luis Enrique won in his managerial career?

Enrique came close to winning his first trophy as Spain boss in 2021, when La Roja lost the Nations League final to France.

They of course came within a penalty shoot-out of the Euro 2020 final, losing out to Italy, who went on to win the trophy at Wembley.

How many trophies has Luis Enrique won?

Enrique’s time as Barcelona was when he won every single major trophy he has scooped in his career so far.

The Spaniard won La Liga twice, going back-to-back as champions in 2014–15 and then again in 2015–16. Those two seasons, he also won the Copa del Rey as well as the year after too, in 2016–17.

Enrique’s Barca also scooped the Supercopa de España in 2016 as well as the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in 2015.

But the crowning glory of Enrique’s career came when Barca beat Juventus to win the Champions League in 2014–15, which was the most recent time they won the historic trophy.

That all adds up to nine major trophies in his career, making Enrique one of the most decorated managers at World Cup 2022.

It was reported that Manchester United looked at Enrique when they sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but it was a non-starter.

That is because of the commitment Enrique has to Spain and his desire to take them to a World Cup in search of glory.

They have lifted the famous trophy just once, in 2010, and Enrique would be a footballing immortal in his native country if he added the World Cup to his trophy haul later this year.
