Jesse Marsch told Friday’s press conference – as per the club’s YouTube – that he would not leave Leeds United for any job in the world at this moment in time, underlining just how happy he is at Elland Road since his arrival in February.
The 47-year-old managed to keep Leeds in the Premier League last term, beating Brentford on the final day of the season. Under Marsch, Leeds have made a decent start to this campaign – winning eight points from six games.
On Sunday, they play host to Aston Villa – their first game in a month. A tumultuous start to his life as Leeds manager, spending north of £100million in the summer on nine new players. The American’s £67k-a-week deal ends in 2025.
During his press conference, Marsch was discussing the future of Victor Orta amid reports he could join Chelsea. Considering his own future, he says he would not leave Leeds at this moment in time for any job in the world.
“If I got an offer to go anywhere in the world, I wouldn’t leave, I’m more happy than I’ve ever been,” Marsch told Friday’s press conference ahead of his side’s seventh Premier League match of the season against Aston Villa.

It is a massive claim from Marsch. Even if the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or any of Europe’s heavyweights come calling, he says he would prefer to remain at Leeds. It shows the family feel Leeds has as a club.
