Italian outlet CMW claim that Antonio Conte will reignite his interest in Lautaro Martinez if Harry Kane leaves Tottenham to join Bayern Munich. Kane is being strongly linked with Bayern, as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
Kane, 29, is yet to commit his long-term future. The England skipper has six goals in nine games for Spurs, and seven in 11 for club and country combined. All six of his Spurs goals have come in the Premier League this season under Conte.
But his long-term future remains a doubt. Indeed, his current Spurs contract expires in less than two years. It means next summer, as things stand, will present the last chance Tottenham can rake in a decent fee – if he does not sign.
Now, it appears Spurs are already planning for his exit. They have been strongly linked with Inter Milan’s Martinez in the past, with Conte and Martinez combining to win the 2020-21 Serie A title. Now, a potential move could be back on.

The report claims that if Kane does leave for Bayern, a move which is said to be tempting Tottenham’s no.10, then Spurs will turn to Martinez. But it would take a potential club-record fee, worth as much as £72million to get him.
Conte will reignite interest in Martinez if Kane leaves Tottenham
He could do a lot worse. Tottenham fans might just be starting to worry, regarding the futures of their two most-important men – Conte and Kane. Both look happy, both are performing well, and both are pushing Spurs forward.
But Kane could be waiting to sign a new deal, because he is remaining patient to see what Conte does. Meanwhile, the Italian is out of contract next summer – but Spurs have the option to extend his current deal by a year at any time.
It is even said that Conte has spoken about remaining at Spurs for “many years”. If Conte stays, then Kane may stay. It seems like the two are intertwined. So, as things stand, Spurs fans do not need to worry. Martinez is superb, though.
