Ibrahima Konate could return for Liverpool this weekend after allegedly being given the green light to make a comeback.
The Premier League finally makes its return this weekend this has been an even longer break for some clubs.
The international break takes up two weeks of the schedule but the passing of Queen Elizabeth II also interrupted Premier League action.
That means Liverpool remarkably haven’t played a Premier League game since the 0-0 draw with Everton on September 3rd.
This weekend’s clash with Brighton is Liverpool’s first Premier League outing in nearly a month and fans likely can’t wait.

Ibrahima Konate could return for Liverpool
That month-long wait for a Premier League game means Liverpool’s injury situation may have cleared up a little.
A number of Liverpool players had been battling through injuries or simply on the sidelines.
One such player is defender Ibrahima Konate, who picked up an injury against Strasbourg in pre-season action.
That blow meant Konate missed the start of the season and hasn’t been seen since.
Joel Matip then filled in but suffered an injury himself, before Joe Gomez took over and endured some real ups and downs.
It now looks like Konate will be available for selection again this weekend.
RMC Sport back in Konate’s native France report that the defender has just been given the green light by Liverpool’s medical staff for a return to the squad this weekend.
That puts Konate in contention to feature against Brighton although we would guess that Jurgen Klopp will ultimately ease him back into action.
Liverpool won’t want to risk Konate picking up another injury quickly and they aren’t exactly desperate to bring the £36m ace back in.
Matip or Gomez will likely partner Virgil van Dijk at the back but having a top talent like Konate back in the ranks just adds to Liverpool’s depth.
Konate is an outstanding prospect and has already shown signs of becoming a star, so his return after more than two months out is a welcome boost as Liverpool look to really kickstart their Premier League campaign.
