Joe Rodon has been enjoying a very decent spell away from Tottenham Hotspur.
The Lilywhites loaned Rodon to Ligue 1 outfit Rennes this past summer and he has started seven of their eight top-flight French outings thus far.
That indicates that despite being surplus to requirements at Tottenham under Antonio Conte, the big central defender is establishing himself as a very important figure for his loan club.
However, the former Swansea City powerhouse, an £11 million signing in 2020, struggled for his country last night if national media is anything to go by.

Rodon started Wales’ Nations League defeat away to Beligum.
The Welsh lost 2-1 to Roberto Martinez’s side and Wales Online haven’t given the Spurs defender a very generous rating.
The 24-year-old was given a 5/10 for his performance and it was written that: “he backed off too much with the hosts’ opener. Rose well with a header for Wales’ best chance of the first half. Will be disappointed with the second, too.”
Rodon, according to this writer’s rating, certainly appears to have been somewhat culpable in both goals that Robert Page’s outfit conceded.
But it’s harsh to blame the Tottenham man, particularly for the first when Kevin De Bruyne side-footed home from the edge of the area.
The towering defender isn’t the perfect centre-back, but he has a lot of admirable qualities and despite being criticised here, his Spurs career will hinge on what he does in France throughout the next nine months, not versus Belgium in the Nations League.
