French outlet Media Foot report that Mauricio Pochettino will make Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris his no.1 target if he joins Nice – with the out-of-work Argentine being linked with the possibly vacant role at the Ligue 1 outfit.
Lucien Favre is coming under increasing pressure at Nice. Despite a whole raft of new signings, including Ross Barkley, Aaron Ramsey and Kasper Schmeichel, Nice have won just three of their first 12 games in all competitions this term.
Whether Favre survives the international break, renowned as the ideal time to sack a manager, remains to be seen. But numerous reports are suggesting the ex-Dortmund gaffer could be given his marching orders at this early stage.
Pochettino is out of work after being replaced by Christopher Galtier at PSG. He is the early favourite to take over. Media Foot say he will look to form a reunion with Lloris at Nice. That is, if he is given the task of replacing Galtier.

The vastly-experienced Lloris, 35, has a contract at Spurs until 2024. Of his enormous 844 appearances for club and country, 78 came at Nice before he joined Lyon. The report claims Nice could move either in January, or next summer.
Pochettino will make Tottenham captain Lloris his no.1 Nice target
Of course, Lloris and Pochettino know eachother well. The duo worked together at Tottenham during Pochettino’s wonderful Spurs spell. But there are two major issues with a potential Nice move for the 139-time France international.
Firstly, why would Lloris want to leave Spurs? The French goalkeeper continues to prove that age is just a number. Right now, he may feel that Spurs are closer to a trophy than any time in his Tottenham spell, under Antonio Conte.
Secondly, would Nice really spend big on the wages of Schmeichel in the summer – only to replace the Dane with Lloris? It seems incredibly unlikely. But Schmeichel has made a poor start, and Lloris might be his replacement.
