Reported Leeds United and Tottenham target Daichi Kamada is increasingly likely to leave Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 with the Bundesliga side coming to a realisation they can’t offer the attacker his contract demands.
According to Bild, the UEFA Europa League champions would have to insert numerous clauses into Kamada’s new contract if they want to keep the Japanese international at the club, with the 26-year-old coming close to leaving Germany in the summer in a reported move to Benfica, though the transfer never materialised.
With a reported price tag of £13m, Kamada would have been quite the steal for a top European side this summer given the attacker’s incredible start to the season with Frankfurt, with the forward already bagging four goals and three assists in the Bundesliga.
Premier League interest has always been high in Kamada, with both Leeds and Tottenham both reportedly keen on signing the Asian superstar in the summer, however, the two English sides opted to sign other attacking targets in Brenden Aaronson and Richarlison respectively.

Lauded by pundit Lucy Ward as an ‘exceptional’ talent, Kamada has been one of Frankfurt’s best players over the past few seasons, and the attacker’s potential decision to leave the club could be damming for the German giants, yet Leeds and Tottenham could benefit hugely if they can step into gear for the Japanese international.
Whilst the two sides strengthened in the attack this summer, adding a versatile forward in Kamada could be an exceptional piece of business for Leeds or Tottenham should the 26-year-old leave Germany for good in 2023, which now looks like a very clear possibility.
Leeds and Tottenham have to move for Kamada should he leave Frankfurt

Kamada has been one of Frankfurt’s star players over the years as the German side continue to ascend in both the Bundesliga and European footballing stage, and should the forward leave next year, Leeds and Tottenham have to make their moves to sign the Japanese international.
After all, adding attacking depth is hardly a bad thing for two ambitious sides such as Leeds and Tottenham, and signing Kamada, who has proven dangerous against Premier League sides already in his career, could be one impressive coup for either English side in the new year.
