Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport that Jack Harrison will sign a new contract with Leeds United in the next two months or so, ending any rumours over a potential exit for the Englishman come the January transfer window.
Harrison, 25, has made a superb start to the season – scoring once and creating three more in his six Premier League gam es. The winger scored in a 3-0 and got an assist against Chelsea, also creating against Wolves and Southampton.
Such form saw Harrison linked with moves to both Tottenham and Newcastle in the summer. But Leeds, having sold Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha, were unwilling to do business. They placed a huge £60million price tag on Harrison.
There is one question mark remaining, though. Harrison will enter the final 18 months of his contract if it is not renewed, when the January window comes around. However, Jones has some good news for Leeds fans regarding it.

“When Newcastle were linked with him, I was constantly told it would not happen as he was too highly rated, and now I’m being told that we should definitely expect a new contract in the next two months or so,” Jones reports on GMS.
Harrison will sign new Leeds contract in next two months
It is a real statement of intent. Leeds fans might have been concerned after the club cashed in on Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips. But Andrea Radrizzani has reiterated when given the chance that Leeds will not be a selling club, like others.
In fact, the Italian has stated he felt like Leeds needed to sell the duo in order to propel the club up the league. Thus, removing the need to constantly cash in on their best players. Harrison is an example of that, if he signs a new deal.
