Everton are now showing an interest in Adama Traore following the forward’s prolific start to life with Ferencvaros, as boss Frank Lampard takes an early look toward 2023 transfers.
Adama Traore earns Everton interest with prolific start at Ferencvaros
According to Calciomercato, Adama Traore has caught the interest of Everton after the 27-year-old’s prolific start to life with Ferencvaros. He only joined the Hungarian side from FC Sheriff this July, ending a 15-month stay in Moldova to sign for the Groupama Arena outfit.

Traore penned a three-year deal with Zold Sasok to add a new attacking threat to manager Stanislav Cherchesov’s team. Ferencvaros believed he could help take their forward line to a higher level after hitting 25 goals and laying on 16 assists in all competitions at FC Sheriff.

The 47-cap Mali international’s time in Moldova also gave an experience of the Champions League and Europa League. He made six outings in the premier UEFA tournament with two goals and one assist, before dropping into the secondary competition for a goal in two ties.
Advancing from the Champions League qualifiers with Traore offering four goals and two assists in 2021 also saw FC Sheriff meet Inter Milan in Group D. Yet the defending Serie A champions did not stop Traore hitting the net in their trip to the Moldovan Super Liga side.

Europa League nights could be catalyst behind Frank Lampard’s admiration
Now, Traore is earning interest within the Premier League, with Everton tracking what the winger is producing for Ferencvaros. Frank Lampard’s talent spotters are monitoring what the Malian achieves under Cherchesov, having impacted games from both flanks this term.
During his first 14 appearances for Zold Sasok, Traore has hit the net 12 times and has laid on four assists across all competitions. His haul also includes scoring four and creating one more in six Champions League qualifiers, but Qarabag beat Ferencvaros in the third-round.

A brace from Traore would help Ferencvaros overcome Shamrock Rovers for a place in the Europa League group stage, though. And he has already opened his account, after scoring his side’s second to help beat Trabzonspor 3-2 on the first night of Group H this Thursday.
Traore continuing to shine in Group H – which is also contested by Monaco and FK Crvena Zvezda – may see Everton maintain their interest and even target the Ferencvaros winger.
