Speaking to BuliNews, Wolfsburg and Denmark striker, Jonas Wind has named Arsenal as the club he would most like to sign for.

The 23-year-old was discussing his future, and he stated that he grew up as an Arsenal fan and would love to play at the Emirates for the north London club one day.

However, just six months after arriving in Germany, the attacker made it clear that he’s only focusing on his performances in the Bundesliga right now, but it’s clear to see that he has one eye on the Premier League.

What’s been said?

Wind spoke about Arsenal.

“If we look into the future, Arsenal would be a dream destination for me, as it has always been my favourite club. In general, I think the Premier League is the best league in the world, and it would be exciting to play there,” Wind said.

“But as I said, that’s not what I’m focusing on at the moment. I’m doing well here in Wolfsburg, it’s a good club for me, and the Bundesliga is a great league to play in. At the moment, I’m just focusing on my performances here, and then we’ll see if I’m good enough to take the next step sometime in the future.”

Long way to go

With all due respect to Wind, he has a long way to go before he thinks about playing for a club like Arsenal.

Don’t get us wrong, he is a talented player who is good enough to play in the Premier League, but to be an Arsenal player you need to be amongst the best of the best.

After just six months in the Bundesliga, he’s yet to prove that he’s at that sort of level, but, as he says, he’s only focused on his current team – which is a good sign.

Who knows? If Wind can kick-on in Germany perhaps his Arsenal dream will become a reality one day.
