After Olivia Wilde dodges a question about an alleged feud between her and co-star Florence Pugh during a press conference, Harry Styles was seen laughing.

Directed by Olivia Wilde, she accompanied the rest of the cast including Gemma Chan, Chris Pine, and Harry Styles at the press conference for Don’t Worry Darling at the Venice Film Festival in Italy. Florence Pugh, one of its main characters, was noticeably missing from the press conference, though she did attend the red carpet.

This sparked rumors of a possible feud between the director and the star, which has not been confirmed. This first emerged when the trailer for Don’t Worry Darling was released to the public, the 26-year-old actress did not share it on her social media accounts.

During the film’s press conference, Olivia addressed Florence’s absence and wouldn’t comment on any alleged feud. However, she did take the opportunity to compliment the actress. On the other hand, Harry Styles’ reaction been picked up by fans, after the singer was seen laughing.

Florence is currently shooting the second sequel to the hit movie Dune in Budapest. However, the actress flew to Paris to attend the red carpet and photo call with the rest of the film’s cast.

The young actress, who has become a very promising figure in Hollywood, appeared in a sheer Valentino set from head to toe as she smiled for the cameras before heading off to the premiere. Hours later, the actress flew back to Budapest.

As per multiple reports, the Lady Macbeth actress had already planned not to attend the press conference. This came before the rumours of the drama on set between the cast surfaced online.

Olivia says Florence is a ‘force’ amid feud rumours

On September 5, asked about the recent rumors of a possible feud, the 38-year-old responded with praise for the star.

Olivia said: “Florence is a force, and we are so grateful that she is able to make it tonight despite being in production on Dune. I know as a director how disruptive it is to lose an actor even for a day, so I’m very grateful to her and Denis Villeneuve for helping us—we’re really thrilled we’ll get to celebrate her work tonight.”

Wilde also showed her gratitude to the actress, the main character in her film.

In terms of the alleged feud, Olivia said that “for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, I mean, the internet feeds itself.” But she wouldn’t respond to the claims.

She concluded: “I don’t feel the need to contribute, I think it’s sufficiently well nourished.”

Fans react to Harry Styles laughing

After Olivia answers the question, the cameras capture Harry Styles laughing and pointing a finger at someone in the audience. In many clips viral on Twitter and TikTok, fans of the singer expressed their confusion about what he was laughing at.

However, it’s unclear who the person away from the panel was that may the As It Was star laugh.

One fan commented: “I don’t know if that was Harry’s awkward smile but omg. I would die if I was in the room like faint dead. So uncomfortable.”

Another user added: “Not harry laughing away the awkwardness… He just like me.”

A third fan wrote: “There is so much tension and then Harry laughing.”

According to Deadline, the singer spoke about the reaction on social media. He said: “They’re pretty obvious for anyone to see. But it’s always important to remember there are positive things happening in the world because of it as well.”
