According to Kaya Kaynak, Arsenal wonderkid Ethan Nwaneri will be involved with the Under-21 side against Blackburn today.
What’s the story?
Well, this is staggering news considering the fact he is just 15 years of age.
It was already impressive enough to see Nwaneri involved in the Under-18 Premier League this season, where he has been on fire despite playing several levels above his age group.
The teenager has scored one goal and provided two assists in three Under-18 Premier League appearances so far this term, and he has now been rewarded by the Gunners.
Kaynak – who covers Arsenal for Football London – believes Nwaneri will be involved today as the Arsenal Under-21 side take on Blackburn in the Premier League 2 clash this afternoon.
In total, the England Under-17 international has scored four goals and registered four assists in nine Under-18 Premier League appearances, which is remarkable for someone aged just 15.
Arsenal have a diamond in Ethan Nwaneri
In our view, the attacking midfielder – who was born in 2007 – could go on to become something special.
Arsenal have a fantastic setup at Hale End in which prospects – such as Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe – are developed carefully and with patience, before they meet a manager in Mikel Arteta who is not afraid to trust them in senior football.
The likes of Charlie Patino and Brooke Norton-Cuffy appear to be next off the production line, and if Nwaneri continues on the path he is currently on, he will surely become a star at the Emirates Stadium.

After all, the 15-year-old has already made an impression against senior footballers when facing Slough Town during pre-season, where Neil Baker – manager of the National League South side – actually picked him out for praise.
Baker said: “I understand their No.10 has got great feet, he’s only a real youngster. I think he’s a real high hope for them at Arsenal. He’s got absolutely unbelievable ability.”
If Arsenal can keep Nwaneri focused and hungry, the sky will be the limit.
