The Sun claim Glen Kamara could be about to leave Rangers and join French side Nice for a bargain £10million – teaming up with Aaron Ramsey again. The Finnish star’s representatives were in talks with Nice last night over a deal.

Kamara, 25, has spent the last three and a half years at Ibrox – after joining for a bargain £50,000 from Dundee. He has since clocked up 165 appearances in all competitions. Also, becoming a Finland international, winning 46 caps.

He has constantly been linked with a move to the Premier League. But now, a move to France is on the cards for the Arsenal academy product. A fee of £10million will be paid by the Ligue 1 club, as they continue adding UK-based stars.

Kasper Schmeichel from Leicester, Welshman and ex-Rangers loanee Ramsey and Nicolas Pepe have all joined. The latter on loan from Arsenal. Now, Kamara and his agents are in talks over a £10million deadline-day move to Nice.

Kamara could leave Rangers and join Nice: £10m talks ongoing

It is a blow for Rangers at this late stage. While Kamara might not be one of the first names on the team sheet at the moment, he is an ever-present in the Rangers squad. But he has only started four of his side’s 10 games in all comps.

The ball is in Rangers’ park. They have a contract for Kamara until the summer of 2025. But a fee of £10million for a rotational option is decent cash. If a deal is done early enough, Rangers might be able to reinvest that money.

Whether Kamara would be willing to leave Rangers, who will compete in the Champions League, to join Nice – a side in the Conference League – remains to be seen. But his agents are in talks and this looks like a deal will go through.
