Well, Arthur Melo to Liverpool looks like it’s going to happen out of nowhere.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has been vocal in admitting that he needs an additional midfielder before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.
With injuries to Naby Keita, Curtis Jones, Thiago and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, it’s vital for Liverpool to strengthen.
Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio revealed earlier this morning that the Juventus midfielder is set to join the Anfield outfit today.
And according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, he cannot wait.
He said on Twitter: “He feels he can adapt to the Premier League quickly but also he reckons Klopp will understand his game much better than Allegri. The player is really looking forward to come to Liverpool.”

If and when this transfer is concluded, it’ll be an initial loan.
And this suits both Liverpool and Juve down to the ground because with the Brazil international having no role under Massimiliano Allegri in Turin, and with Klopp needing a midfielder, it’s an excellent match.
It remains to be seen who will be paying the bulk of Arthur’s £106,000-a-week salary, but for now Liverpool supporters won’t care too much about the smaller details.
What’s important is that Klopp gets the midfielder that he’s needed for quite a while and, fortunately, it looks like that’s the case.
