Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are among those in the race to sign Adedire Mebude, according to a report.
The Manchester City youngster’s contract talks with the Sky Blues have seemingly hit an impasse.
And according to The Evening Standard, Tottenham are keen on bringing him to North London, with Newcastle also credited with an interest.
The report adds that the 18-year-old – a winger who has ‘blistering pace’ – is also on Southampton’s radar, along with a number of European outfits like PSV Eindhoven and Club Brugge.

You couldn’t hold it against Mebude if he genuinely does elect to quit Manchester City.
For every Phil Foden, there’s hundreds of other teenagers who won’t graduate from the academy to make waves in Pep Guardiola’s senior squad.
That being said, Tottenham are flush with wide options.
Antonio Conte has Richarlison, Lucas Moura, Ivan Perisic and Dejan Kulusevski to name but a few.
Honestly, Newcastle might be the best choice but, then again, the Magpies could well develop into another Man City over the coming years in terms of welcoming a host of high-profile, expensive players to St James’s Park, the like of which could block his progress to the senior outfit.
Having said that, this is still only a teenage talent.
The prospect of regular football anywhere is probably a few years away yet and it’ll come down to where Mebude – a Scotland Under-19 international – feels is the best transfer for his career.
