Arsenal have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Florian Grillitsch.

The summer transfer window officially shuts tomorrow and Arsenal are yet to add a midfielder or a winger, following their early-window additions.

However, a midfielder is now looking a lot more likely, with Danilo heavily linked with a transfer to the Gunners now.

Another name linked to the North Londoners now is that of the Austria international.

And according to 90 Min, the 27-year-old’s agents have offered him to Arsenal ahead of tomorrow’s deadline.

He is available on a Bosman after being released by Hoffenheim earlier this summer and it’ll be interesting to see whether the speculation has any legs.

Arsenal transfer news

It remains to be seen who Arsenal sign, but Danilo is looking a lot more likely, it has to be said.

That’s because earlier on Wednesday it was reported that Edu had made a £20 million offer to sign the Palmeiras player.

Bayern Munich manager boss Julian Nagelsmann is previously on record as labelling Grilltsch as ‘exceptional’ [Sky Austria].

But with the player available on a Bosman all summer long, that’s a relatively major red flag because it would appear as if nobody has taken a punt on him, considering he’s free.

Still, if Danilo falls through for whatever reason – like a work permit problem, for example – then Grillstch remains someone who the Emirates Stadium outfit can still sign even after the window shuts on Thursday.
