TeamTalk claim Leeds are willing to spend £20million to sign Wolves attacker Hwang Hee-chan if he becomes available despite his mistake on the weekend against Newcastle – with Everton are also said to be keeping tabs on the attacker.
Leeds have been strongly linked with a move to sign the South Korea international. A player that has showed his best form under Jesse Marsch, in the player’s final season at RedBull Salzburg. He had a hand in 38 goals in 40 games.
The Whites are not the only club looking at Hwang. A player that can play out wide, as a 10, or even up front. Everton are also said to be keen in the ex-Leipzig man as the Toffees look to bolster their side before Thursday’s deadline.
Reports now state that Leeds are willing to pay £20million to sign Hwang if he becomes available this summer. That is, despite his mistake against Newcastle on Sunday – in which his poor clearance saw Allan Saint-Maximin score a volley.

The Whites do need reinforcements in attack. Not least, because Spurs and Everton want Dan James. Phil Hay has said that if James departs, then Leeds will look to bring in a new attacking addition before the deadline on Thursday.
Hwang could be that man. With Patrick Bamford injured, the Whites will want another player that can operate up front. Hwang certainly can, proving as much under Marsch during his time in Austrian football with Salzburg and Marsch.
Is he worth £20m? Wolves signed the ace for £14m on a permanent basis in January, after an initial loan period. But he has struggled at Wolves, scoring just five goals in 36 games. Marsch knows him well, it could get the best out of him.
