Leeds United want Ryan Kent and could launch a new move for the Rangers winger before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

The Whites have done plenty of business this summer but may still need to bring in some new recruits in the coming days.

Another striker and a left back have been on Leeds’ radar for a while now, with Jesse Marsch needing depth in those areas.

Yet even after replacing Raphinha with Luis SInisterra, Leeds may end up needing to sign another winger this week.

Leeds United want Ryan Kent

It just wouldn’t be a transfer window without Leeds being linked with Kent, would it?

This is a rumour we have seen for years now, with Marcelo Bielsa understood to be a huge fan of the Rangers wide man.

Bielsa may have moved on but Leeds’ interest in Kent hasn’t, with the Whites back in the race once again.

The Daily Mail report that Leeds are considering a very late move to sign Kent before Thursday’s deadline.

Leeds are back in the hunt for a winger because Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are both chasing Daniel James.

The idea would be for James to head out of Elland Road and Kent to come in as his replacement.

Kent has less than a year left on his Rangers contract and Leeds may now have confidence of tempting the Gers into selling.

The problem is that Rangers have secured Champions League qualification and aren’t really under pressure to sell – especially so close to the deadline.

Kent, 25, has already recorded three goals in three league games this season and his total record for Rangers stands at 30 goals and 50 assists in 180 games.

The former Liverpool talent will surely fancy a shot at Premier League action one day and Leeds could well offer that in the coming days.

Kent has been hailed as ‘fabulous’ by pundit Owen Hargreaves and Rangers may soon face a decision; do they sell Kent now or look wait in the hope of extending his contract?

That’s a tough one and it may take Kent pushing for a move for Leeds to secure a late move here.
