Jamie Redknapp has raved about Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin on Sky Sports Premier League (1:44pm, August 28, 2022) amid speculation linking him with Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur and Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.
Former Tottenham winger Redknapp believes that Newcastle winger Saint-Maximin is “unplayable” and is a force to be reckoned with he takes on opposition players.
The Northern Echo reported last month that Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in signing Saint-Maximin from Premier League rivals Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
Praise for Newcastle winger and Tottenham Hotspur target Allan Saint-Maximin
Redknapp said about Saint-Maximin on Sky Sports Premier League (1:44pm, August 28, 2022): “Unplayable on his day. He really is.”
The Sky Sports pundit added: “When he gets into the box and takes people on, you can’t stop him.”

Could a transfer happen?
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur may not be able to sign Allan Saint-Maximin from Newcastle United so late in the summer transfer window.
The £93,000-a-week (SalarySport) winger is an important figure in Newcastle manager Eddie Howe’s team, and the Magpies will want a ridiculous amount of money for him now.
After all, Newcastle will have to find a replacement for the winger if he does leave before the summer transfer window closes this week.
And there is not much left.
We do not think that Tottenham will spend £50 million or £60 million Saint-Maximin, as that is the kind of money that the Magpies are likely to demand for the French winger.
