West Ham United and Newcastle United transfer target, Conor Gallagher, has apologised on Instagram after getting sent off during Chelsea’s 2-1 win against Leicester City on Saturday.
After just 27 minutes at Stamford Bridge, Gallagher picked up two yellow cards to put his already-under-pressure team in a spot of bother, but luckily for him, Chelsea held their own and secured the three points.
It’s fair to say that one of England’s sought-after midfielders was pretty pleased that his side didn’t drop points because he stated on IG that he was ‘proud’ of Chelsea’s effort.

Gallagher was on-loan at Crystal Palace last season, a spell under Patrick Vieira that landed him international caps, but will he be on that plane to Qatar in November for the 2022 World Cup?
Well, what happens from now until next week’s transfer deadline might just be the difference, with West Ham, Newcastle and Palace among the teams keen on the £35 million star player.
Given that he got sent off on Saturday, it now means he will be suspended for the upcoming midweek games and it will be interesting if he makes any late move by Thursday.
Nonetheless, this was the message Gallagher posted on his social media account, as he took responsibility for his ‘rash’ actions.
SHOULD GALLAGHER LEAVE CHELSEA?
Thomas Tuchel has handed Gallagher back-to-back starts, and in truth, he hasn’t exactly impressed.
That’s not to say that he shouldn’t remain in Chelsea colours beyond the summer transfer window, but it doesn’t help his cause.
Sending off aside, if Gallagher is to have a future in West London, then he needs a regular run of games, else, he is better off moving again.
Chelsea have made several transfer mistakes in recent times – letting Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham and Marc Guehi go, and they wouldn’t want it to happen again.
