Wilfried Zaha to Arsenal is a transfer rumour that has come from nowhere this week.
According to journalist Dean Jones, the Crystal Palace winger is on the Gunners’ radar.
Arsenal are well known to be in the market for signing a winger before the transfer window shuts and, with Zaha scoring three goals in his first three Premier League outings, he seems a relatively decent candidate.
At least, that’s the view of Kevin Campbell.
The former Arsenal hitman believes that the 29-year-old would be the ‘most productive’ of any wide player linked with joining Mikel Arteta’s outfit during the final week of the window and the fact he grew up supporting the North Londoners would be ‘interesting’.
He told The Highbury Squad podcast: “I believe Wilfried Zaha has been mentioned. Let’s be honest, production wise, Wilfried Zaha is probably the most productive of them all. He’s a Gooner as well so wouldn’t it be interesting. We’ve seen him absolutely torture a couple of teams since we played them. I think for two or three season, Zaha would be absolutely devastating for the Arsenal.”

Wilfried Zaha to Arsenal?
HITC Sport wrote last week about how the Emirates Stadium were wrong to have chosen Zaha over Nicolas Pepe.
Unai Emery wanted to bring the Eagles star to North London in 2019, before a club-record £72 million transfer for Pepe was sanctioned by Raul Sanllehi.
And considering how Pepe has just left Arsenal on a season-long loan to Nice in Ligue 1, perhaps there’s an even stronger argument now that Emery was right all along.
Zaha wouldn’t be the Gooners’ first choice of winger to come in next week, but Campbell is right in saying that for a proven Premier League player who can change games, there’s far worse options for Arteta and Edu.
