Chelsea are almost certain to sign Anthony Gordon from Everton this summer.
At least, that’s the view of Jose Enrique.
It was reported today that Gordon had agreed personal terms with the Stamford Bridge outfit ahead of what’ll be a £60 million transfer in total.
And with Everton struggling on and off the field, the former Liverpool left-back said on Twitter there is simply ‘no chance’ of the Toffees turning down that sort of money.
Anthony Gordon to Chelsea
To be honest, Enrique is completely right.
If and when this is confirmed, it’s a very questionable piece of business by Chelsea.

Nobody doubts that Gordon, at 21, is a rising talent of English football, but the key word there is ‘rising‘.
From 53 Premier League appearances, the youngster has scored four and set up three goals.
For Chelsea to be spending such a massive figure on someone with rather modest statistics thus far is, well, a major gamble to put it lightly.
Then again, Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with a genuine interest in the Everton prodigy, meaning that moving swift – and decisively – was of paramount of importance.
And time will tell whether it’s a masterstroke by the Blues or another transfer mistake.
