A Sky Sports reporter has named three Liverpool players who Jordan Henderson was very angry with on Monday night.
The Reds slipped five points behind Premier League champions Manchester City after losing to their local rivals, Manchester United, at Old Trafford yesterday.
It was only 2-1 in the end and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp revealed afterwards that he felt as if his troops were the better outfit.
However, the truth is that the Red Devils were absolutely good value for their victory, with Klopp’s side still winless from three Premier League outings now.
It was a ridiculous first half performance from the visitors and despite the best efforts of captain Henderson, there was very little organisation, cohesion or effort from Liverpool.
According to Sky’s Adam Bate, the Reds skipper was visibly ‘fuming’ with Roberto Firmino at one point, while Luis Diaz and Trent Alexander-Arnold also got a rollicking from the 32-year-old midfielder.

Bate said: “Henderson is fuming with Firmino for attempting a dink, then he is angry with Diaz for trying a cross that is blocked. Now he is jumping up and down as Alexander-Arnold overhits a cross from deep. Not going Liverpool’s way.”
Henderson is definitely the sort of character who can inspire change on the field, whether that’s renewed motivation or mindset.
But even the Liverpool captain himself didn’t appear to be at the races for much of the game.
Harvey Elliott and Fabio Carvalho – two 19-year-olds – showed the most guts for Klopp’s side and no senior player really took much responsibility.
