The Times have reported that ‘Edu is as determined as he can be to find a buyer for Ainsley Maitland-Niles, the 24-year-old midfielder who has a year left on his contract, having turned down £15 million from Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer’.
No future at the Gunners
In our view, Ainsley Maitland-Niles does not have a future at Arsenal, and we think that the Gunners and the midfielder should part ways this summer.
There is no point in the 24-year-old, who can also operate as a full-back, staying at Arsenal and not getting playing time.
The £52,000–a-week (Spotrac) England international is only 24, and he has a lot to offer.
We know that Maitland-Niles is of Premier League standards, so it would make sense for him to move to another club in the top flight of English football.
Maitland-Niles has scored one goal and created five big chances in 87 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
