Speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing Newcastle and their interest in Conor Gallagher.
The Magpies have been linked with Gallagher for all summer long, and according to Romano, the Chelsea midfielder is a player that the Tyneside club absolutely love.
Unfortunately for Eddie Howe’s side, Gallagher won’t be joining the club anytime soon.
Indeed, according to Romano, the Blues are yet to make a decision on the midfielder and Newcastle will need to wait before landing the midfielder.

Romano shared what he knows about Gallagher.
“For sure, Conor Gallagher is a part of their list, he is a player they love, but it depends on Thomas Tuchel and it depends on Chelsea. They will have to wait a bit on Gallagher to see what Tuchel will decide and it’s the same with Broja. They need to wait and that’s it for the Chelsea talents,” Romano said.
Worth the wait
Newcastle may need to wait to land Gallagher, but if they can get him, he will be more than worth the wait.
Gallagher was absolutely fantastic at Crystal Palace last season, and his all-action style would be incredibly well-suited alongside both Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton.
In fact, Newcastle would potentially have one of the best midfields in the Premier League if they landed Gallagher.
Guimaraes and Joelinton already have an incredible understanding with one another and Gallagher would be combine with the Brazilian pair to create a truly frightening trio.
Newcastle aren’t buying the biggest names in world football, but they are quietly building a fantastic core of young, talented players who can take them to the next level.
