According to the Manchester Evening News, Crystal Palace are ready to spend £10m as they look to re-sign Barcelona target Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
What’s the story?
Well, the £83,000-a-week man is yet to play a single minute of Premier League football under Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
Wan-Bissaka failed to get off the bench as the Red Devils suffered a 2-1 defeat to Brighton, before he was also sidelined as Manchester United were hammered 4-0 by Brentford.
Now, Crystal Palace are willing to offer the right-back an escape from Old Trafford, but the south Londoners are reluctant to offer more than £10m for their academy graduate.
The Manchester Evening News believe the south Londoners do not plan to offer in excess of that amount, but Manchester United are keen to move Wan-Bissaka on with Diogo Dalot preferred at right-back.
However, they look highly unlikely to receive anywhere near the £45m they handed Crystal Palace for his signature back in 2019.
Barcelona are also said to be interested in signing the Manchester United No.29 this summer, following the departure of Dani Alves.
Wan-Bissaka has made 126 appearances in total for the Red Devils since that club-record sale by the Eagles, scoring two goals while also providing ten assists.
Crystal Palace would be a force with Aaron Wan-Bissaka
In our view, Patrick Vieira would have a phenomenal backline if he managed to re-sign Wan-Bissaka.
The Eagles already have a pair of England internationals at the back in Tyrick Mitchell and Marc Guehi, who play alongside the consistently impressive Joachim Andersen, but right-back is certainly a weak point.

Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne are reliable, experienced performers, but a fresh long-term option is definitely needed in that area.
We mustn’t forget that Wan-Bissaka was one of the best defenders in Europe before his move to Old Trafford, so if Vieira can get him back to that level, Crystal Palace could get themselves a bargain.
