Leeds United are supposedly in the mix to sign Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic with Sunday’s Premier League opponents willing to listen to offers – and Brenden Aaronson once branded him both “magical” and “selfless”.
Pulisic, 23, has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea this summer – following the signing of Raheem Sterling. The USMNT skipper has played in both of Chelsea’s opening two Premier League matches, but only as a substitute.
Reports state that Chelsea are ‘willing to listen to offers’ for the ex-Dortmund star. Injuries and competition have limited him to just 117 appearances in three and a half years – only 73 of which have come in the starting line-up.
It is believed Leeds, Newcastle and Manchester United are among his admirers, as are a few clubs from the continent. Speaking about Pulisic after an assist during a 3-0 win over Morocco in the summer, Aaronson was full of praise.

“It was magical of Christian. And for him to be selfless like he was and to give me the ball and to score it, it was great,” Aaronson said, after the Chelsea and US skipper squared a chance for Aaronson to tap home against Morocco in June.
Leeds in mix for Pulisic: Aaronson branded him ‘magical’
What a stunning signing Pulisic would be for Leeds. The temptation will surely be there, for two reasons. Firstly, the fact that Jesse Marsch is in charge, an American gaffer – and the presence of two his USMNT teammates.
Aaronson, and Tyler Adams. The second is that, ahead of the World Cup in Qatar in which USA face England, Pulisic needs game time. At Leeds, he will be one of the first names on the team sheet.
But there are two major issues surrounding a deal, too. Pulisic will be expensive, whatever format a deal is. Even on loan, his wages are a huge £150,000 a week, and Leeds would have to cover a percentage.
Secondly, Pulisic has interest from Champions League clubs. That will prove much more tempting, if he can find a club to give him more game time than he is receiving at Chelsea. Plenty to consider for the Chelsea ace.
