David Moyes’s West Ham United are interested in signing Michael Keane from Frank Lampard’s Everton in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

West Ham make loan offer for Everton’s Michael Keane

The report in the British tabloid has claimed that West Ham have made a season-long offer to Premier League rivals Everton for the 29-year-old central defender.

The Toffees have turned it down.

West Ham are reportedly looking for a new centre-back following the departure of Issa Diop to Fulham.

However, Everton do not want to offload Keane due to injures to Ben Godfrey and Yerry Mina, according to The Sun.

Unlikely transfer

In our opinion, it is unlikely that Everton will let Michael Keane leave for West Ham United in the summer transfer window even if the Hammers make a new offer.

The Toffees have injury problems, and manager Frank Lampard will surely want to have options at the back.

Keane is a very good defender who has Premier League experience, and we can understand why West Ham want him.

If there were no injury problems in defence, then Everton might have offloaded Keane this summer, but as things stand, we do not see the Toffees letting the 29-year-old English centre-back leave.
