Polish outlet Meczyki have reported that Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich and Jesse Marsch have held talks since the win over Wolves – and amid unrest regarding his future, the Polish ace is set to remain at Elland Road this season.
Klich, 32, was being linked with a Leeds exit a couple of weeks ago. Marsch even suggested that the midfielder may want to depart in order to strengthen his chances of reaching the Poland squad at this year’s World Cup in Qatar.
However, the ex-Wolfsburg midfielder came off the bench on Saturday and impressed against Wolves. It was his turn, his positioning that set-up the winner. Feeding Patrick Bamford, who laid on the assist for Brenden Aaronson to score.
Now, reports from Klich’s home country of Poland claim that he and manager Marsch have held talks regarding his future. They claim that Marsch has transmitted his desire for Klich to remain at Elland Road in the coming weeks.

It appears that Klich is now set to remain in Yorkshire, after the duo engaged in talks. Marsch has informed him that he will not be allowed to leave Leeds after his Wolves outing. The £34k-a-week man has a part to play at Leeds in 22-23.

Whether Klich is okay at being told he has to remain at Leeds is another question. With the signings of Aaronson, Tyler Adams and Marc Roca, his chances of game time are reduced. Therefore, the chances of him being at the World Cup.
But his showing off the bench against Wolves will have impressed Polish management. Even if he does not start every game, having an impact as as sub in the Premier League will surely show Poland he is good enough for the World Cup.
